Women are persons
Yes,
You may find this funny or totally unbelievable, but it may well indeed be true! All this time I didn't know, nor did I even think about this idea at all... Women are persons...haha, give me a break. Didn't know until today, it struck me like a ton of bricks when I went to the supermarket. Oh yes, I hear you say wtf? I hear you say Are you kidding me? I hear you say a lot of things and I understand how you may feel toward such a crazy idea.
But it's true. Like I said, I went to the supermarket today in order to get me a lunch. Unfortunately I was out of cash so I used my debit card in order to pay for my stuff and withdraw 60$ at the same time. This is when the woman handed me a 50 dollar bill along with a 10 dollar bill as she didn't have enough 20 dollar bills. So she said: "Will this be OK?" So I said: "Yes no problems I don't really care anyway". So I took my money and my lunch and left.
When I arrived at my work place I said to myself, how cool is that! I got a 50$ bill....it's been a long long time since I hadn't seen one. So I took it out of my wallet and looked at it and then it all became clear. On the back of it was a small inscription and it said: "Women are persons". So that was it, the Canadian government wanted us to know women were persons. But why on the 50 dollar bills then? Why not on the more commonly used 20$ bills? This remain a mystery but I think it's part of a large conspiration. Indeed, who are the people who can afford to have 50$ bills with them? Those who are wealthy. The poor are mostly stuck with 20$ bills or lower most of the time so only the rich are able to know and understand this information. They probably want to keep that for themselves...
We really need to do something about it.
Here's the proof if you don't believe me:
As you can see this is the front view of the standard 50$ canadian bill.
Now if you flip it, you end up looking at the back...but what is this on the lower left corner? Let's zoom in on it.
And there you go... pretty incredible eh? It's there for all to see.

Interesting.... in digging around, I found that this has to do with a case in 1929.

In fact, the bunch of people on the right hand side are also related to this.
Pretty neat. I don't recall learning this in history class.
